More About Me
When I began my career in Real Estate, I brought over two decades of varied professional experience to the field. Since that time, it has been a thrill to have the opportunity to translate my skills, as well as my passion for working with and helping others, into my work as a Realtor®. There is simply nothing more rewarding than being an integral part of the satisfaction and excitement my clients feel when finding the right home. The superior level of customer service I offer my real estate clients has been built on over 25 years of working in a multitude of service-oriented roles.
After graduating from Middlebury College with a degree in East Asian Studies, I began my career in financial services in New York City, with an emphasis on international markets. I spent two and a half years at the Industrial Bank of Japan, then returned to Boston to work as a Senior Business Analyst at the Bank of New York/Mellon. Ultimately, I transitioned to the public sector, earning my Master’s Degree in Teaching at Tufts University, and spent 10 years as a middle and high school teacher in the Greater Boston area. After the birth of my first child, I worked in sales and as a systems contractor. At each phase of my career, I have committed myself to idea that personalized and professional service is the cornerstone of success. My strong work ethic, problem solving abilities, self-motivation, and a passion for producing the desired results have allowed me to use my background to assist buyers and sellers in many local markets for the past 8 years.
I am a Boston area native, having grown up on the North Shore, and my family and I have lived in Bedford for 11 years, after 9 years in Belmont. I am an extremely active member of the local community; I have been the President of the Bedford Education Foundation for many years, and am a past committee chair within the BEST/PTO. I currently serve in town government as the Chair of Bedford’s Volunteer Coordinating Committee. I dedicate my time to fundraising events that support many other local organizations.
Traveling when I can is my favorite extra-curricular activity, and I enjoy outdoor activities with my family, taking advantage of the varied New England seasons whenever possible. I absolutely love the area that Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty represents and all it has to offer its residents – a feeling that comes out loud and clear when assisting my clients to buy and sell here.
